Canadian Health Infoway

Infoway is an independent, not-for-profit organization whose Members are Canada's 14 federal, provincial and territorial Deputy Ministers of Health. Launched in 2001, Infoway and its public sector partners have over 100 projects, either completed or underway, delivering electronic health record (EHR) solutions to Canadians - solutions that bring tangible value to patients, providers and the healthcare system. Chronic Disease Management Toolkit

This is an expansion of the Ministry of Health Service's Secure Web Site for Practitioners where BC physicians can access a list of their patients with chronic conditions (such as congestive heart failure, diabetes, asthma and hypertension) and reports on the extent to which the care provided is consistent with BC Clinical Guidelines. http://www.healthservices.gov.bc.ca/cdm/reqaccess.html

eHealth Toolkit

eHealth is the use of information and communication technologies to support, educate, inform and connect health care professionals and the people they serve. Health Canada's eHealth Solutions Unit works to develop eHealth tools to support the use of health technology in Canada's First Nations and Inuit communities to be connected, informed, and ultimately healthier. Their overall aim is to enable front line health care providers working in First Nations and Inuit communities to improve people's health through innovative eHealth partnerships, technologies, tools and services. E-Therapeutics, The Canadian Pharmacists Association

This will be a resource for Canadian physicians, pharmacists, nurse practitioners and other primary health care professionals to help make the right therapeutic decision.
