Alberta's Electronic Health Record
This system links community physicians, pharmacists, hospitals, home care, and other authorized health
professionals across the province to see and update health information such as
patient's allergies, prescriptions, and lab tests. Also contains decision support
tools such as drug information and clinical practice guidelines.

Canadian Health Infoway
Infoway is an independent, not-for-profit
organization whose members are Canada's 14 federal, provincial and territorial
Deputy Ministers of Health. Launched in 2001, Infoway and its public sector
partners have over 100 projects, either completed or underway, delivering
electronic health record (EHR) solutions to Canadians – solutions that bring
tangible value to patients, providers and the healthcare system. This web site
has client registry, provider registry and telehealth starter toolkits.

Health Canada (electronic health records)
Health Canada is developing a
toolkit to support the implementation of electronic medical records in primary
health care settings. Greymartin Consulting of Victoria has been contracted to
develop the toolkit. They are currently involved in consultations to inform the
development of the toolkit, and are using "success stories" -- i.e. examples of
where EMRs have been successfully implemented in PHC practices and have
produced demonstrable results. More information on this project can be reached
